Her Briefcase is a platform designed to support women as they navigate their education, careers, and the systems that shape them. By sharing insight from professionals across industries, we aim to make mentorship more accessible, career-building less overwhelming, and ambition something that’s encouraged. Our mission is to connect students and young professionals with stories, tools, and ideas that help them grow into the futures they imagine for themselves, whatever path they choose.
Our Story
Her Briefcase began in 2022 as a passion project in response to the lack of accessible mentorship, socioeconomic opportunity gaps, honest career advice, and real-world context for young women entering school and the workforce. What started with a podcast and a small digital platform has since evolved into a community for education, empowerment, and advocacy.
We started by asking questions: on our podcast, in our blog, and in our inboxes. Questions about how to break into a field without connections. About what it’s like to be a first-generation college student. About what success actually looks like when you're just getting started. And we brought in the voices that had answers: doctors, lawyers, policy leaders, creatives, students, founders, and many more. The result is a growing archive of stories and strategies that make the path forward feel more possible.
Today, Her Briefcase is more than a content platform. It’s a space for meaningful connection, curiosity, and change. We’re here to open doors, spark ideas, and help more women build lives they’re proud of while shaping the systems that shape us.

Hello, I am Rebecca Ryan a sophomore at Cornell University studying Industrial Labor Relations and aspiring legal professional. I love talking to different people about their passions and interests. I am passionate about bridging the gap in different socioeconomic levels by creating resources to help students and aspiring professionals achieve their goals.

My name is Livia, and I’m a sophomore at TCNJ Business School, studying Marketing and Management. I develop and implement marketing strategies, including interviews and social media campaigns, while optimizing for SEO to enhance visibility and engagement across platforms.
